My Approach

With certifications in both trauma and grief, I offer gentle, collaborative and compassionate therapy, focused on lessening the painful legacy of these experiences. The general goal is to foster a greater sense of ease, self-compassion and hope in the here and now. My wish is to respectfully partner with you in unraveling the often confusing and painful aftermath of complex trauma, adverse childhood experiences and significant loss. Depression, anxiety, a nagging sense of shame, fluctuating self-esteem, relationship difficulties and feeling stuck in life, are related issues, that can also benefit from therapy.

Not all trauma is from a single devastating incident. Often the home we grew up in, even with loving parents, can be a source of adverse childhood experiences or complex trauma. This can impact us decades later- even today. Experiences, such as unintended neglect, being exposed to addictions or mental illness can shape our nervous systems and path in life.

Perhaps your days are filled with preoccupation over the death of a loved one, and those close to you have become concerned. While grief is highly individualized, prolonged grief can stop us from moving on with our lives. I would love to accompany you on your unique grief journey, with the goal of reestablishing a sense of purpose and possibility.
